I Have... Who Has...? – Plate Motion | 4 Interactive Science Review Games – 100 Cards

$5.00

Take students beneath Earth's surface to investigate moving tectonic plates, earthquakes, volcanoes, and changing landforms!

Bring the powerful processes shaping Earth's surface into your classroom with I Have... Who Has...? – Plate Motion!

Designed to complement the Grade 7 Amplify Science Plate Motion unit, this printable resource includes 100 science question-and-answer cards organized into four numbered sets of 25 cards each.

Students explore Earth's layers, tectonic plates, plate boundaries, convection currents, subduction, seafloor spreading, and the geological evidence of plate movement.

What's Included?

  • Set 1: Cards 1–25
  • Set 2: Cards 26–50
  • Set 3: Cards 51–75
  • Set 4: Cards 76–100

Total: 100 cards across four sets.

The colorful plate-tectonics-themed fronts and coordinated question-and-answer sides are designed for double-sided printing.

What Makes This Resource Special?

  • Reinforces plate tectonics vocabulary.
  • Reviews Earth's lithosphere and mantle.
  • Explores tectonic plate movement.
  • Compares convergent, divergent, and transform boundaries.
  • Strengthens understanding of subduction and seafloor spreading.
  • Reviews mid-ocean ridges and ocean trenches.
  • Encourages students to connect geological evidence with Earth's changing surface.
  • Promotes active listening and cooperative learning.

Sample Science Questions Include:

  • What is the hard, solid outer layer of Earth called? – Lithosphere
  • What are the large, broken pieces of Earth's outer layer called? – Tectonic plates
  • What is the soft, hot layer of rock directly underneath the plates? – Mantle
  • What is the primary cause of plate motion identified in the cards? – Convection currents
  • What do we call the place where two tectonic plates meet? – Plate boundary
  • What is a boundary where two plates move toward each other? – Convergent boundary
  • What is a boundary where two plates move away from each other? – Divergent boundary
  • What is the process of one plate sinking beneath another? – Subduction

How to Play

Select one of the four numbered sets and distribute the cards among students.

The student with the starting card reads the first question. Students listen for the matching answer, respond with "I Have...," and read the next "Who Has...?" question.

Continue until the chain is complete.

Perfect For:

Grade 7 Earth science, Amplify Science review, plate tectonics instruction, Earth's layers, geological processes, science centers, small-group activities, whole-class review, and assessment preparation.

Why Teachers Will Love It

Plate motion involves geological processes that occur over enormous distances and long periods of time.

These interactive games provide an accessible way for students to review important vocabulary and explain the relationships between tectonic plates and Earth's changing surface.

Four sets. One hundred cards. An exciting way to explore the forces shaping our planet!
