I Have... Who Has...? – Traits and Reproduction | 4 Interactive Science Review Games – 100 Cards

$5.00

Bring genetics and inheritance to life with four interactive science review games that help students explore how traits are passed from parents to offspring!

Make complex genetics vocabulary more accessible with I Have... Who Has...? – Traits and Reproduction!

Designed to complement the Grade 8 Amplify Science Traits and Reproduction unit, this printable resource includes 100 science question-and-answer cards organized into four numbered sets of 25 cards each.

Students investigate traits, variation, genes, chromosomes, DNA, proteins, alleles, inheritance, and the relationships between genetic information and observable characteristics.

What's Included?

  • Set 1: Cards 1–25
  • Set 2: Cards 26–50
  • Set 3: Cards 51–75
  • Set 4: Cards 76–100

Total: 100 cards across four sets.

The colorful genetics-and-reproduction-themed fronts and coordinated question-and-answer sides are designed for double-sided printing.

What Makes This Resource Special?

  • Reinforces genetics and inheritance vocabulary.
  • Explores traits and variation within populations.
  • Reviews genes, chromosomes, and DNA.
  • Strengthens understanding of proteins and their functions.
  • Introduces alleles and genetic inheritance.
  • Compares homozygous and heterozygous combinations.
  • Connects genetics to the Darwin's bark spider investigation.
  • Promotes scientific communication and cooperative learning.

Sample Science Questions Include:

  • What is a specific characteristic of an individual organism? – Trait
  • What are differences in traits between individuals in a population? – Variation
  • What are large molecules that do much of the work inside cells? – Proteins
  • What molecule makes up chromosomes? – DNA
  • Where are genes located inside a cell? – Chromosomes
  • What is a specific version of a gene called? – Allele
  • What is having two of the same alleles for a gene called? – Homozygous
  • What is having two different alleles for a gene called? – Heterozygous

How to Play

Select one of the four numbered sets and distribute the cards among students. The starting player reads the first question. Students listen for the matching answer, respond with "I Have...," and read the next "Who Has...?" question.

Continue until the chain is complete.

Perfect For:

Grade 8 life science, Amplify Science review, genetics instruction, heredity, traits and reproduction, DNA and chromosomes, science centers, cooperative learning, and assessment preparation.

Why Teachers Will Love It

Genetics introduces students to complex relationships between genes, proteins, and inherited traits. These four games reinforce essential vocabulary and provide opportunities for students to connect genetic information with observable characteristics.

Four sets. One hundred cards. An engaging way to unlock the science of inheritance!
